Helping Corey
In April of this year, Corey Ashcroft was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma which is an aggressive form of childhood cancer. He is undergoing a 70 day long programme of intensive chemotherapy at the Manchester Children's Hospital and due to the vigorous treatment he is receiving, he will be left hospitalized for around 12 months.
The form of cancer Corey has only affects around 80-100 people per year so it is extremely rare and was a huge shock to his parent's. They want to do all they can to help Corey live a normal life for as long as possible and they have found a form of treatment in America that could offer him this new way of life. They offer a form of immunotherapy that is not available in the UK which would give Corey the best chance of survival.
The family need to raise £250,000 to send him to America to have the treatment and they need your help to do this. A quarter of a million pounds is a lot of money but it could be the means to save Corey's life.
Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated by Corey, his family and friends, and Cash for Kids. You can do this via our Just Giving text donation line by texting: WISH10 then your amount of £5 or £10 to 70070.
